History

Mike Barron and Brandon Ralph began their career in HVAC at the Prossor School of Technology in 2002. Both were 17 at the time and were still in high school. They both became Licensed KY journeymen at 21 years of age. Mike started in the trade as a helper and progressed to lead installer. He spent 8 years in the residential and commercial service when he became a foreman for commercial installations. Mike decided to test his skills and applied for a Kentucky Masters license which he achieved and began work in a field supervisory role. Several years later he was approached by a large company to help set up a location for them under his master’s license. Meanwhile, Brandon had been working in the industrial side of the trade and had a significant background in ductwork design and equipment necessary for residential installations. Mike was successful, with Brandon’s help, in making this new endeavor successful. He spent 4 years with this company before the national company sold this business to an even larger corporation.

Noticing the changes throughout the years of poor craftmanship, false sales, and scare tactics used on customers, Mike and Brandon decided it was time to push their skills further and develop a group of technicians and installers with the same principles and morals that they hold themselves.  They also wanted to accomplish this in a positive work environment. They wanted to make a change in the perception of the trade along with developing future technicians with these same principles. Mike and Brandon decided to start the process of change in August 2021. They formed BR Heating & Cooling where they really care for the customer’s concerns and issues. Honesty and Integrity with the customer is the foremost goal.
